Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 1, 2026
1. Who We Are and What This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Shipyard Productions, LLC DBA American Contractor Leads (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you visit our website or submit a request through it. American Contractor Leads is a lead-generation service: we generate local service requests from homeowners and businesses and connect them with an independent contractor in the requested trade and area. By using our website, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways:
- Information you give us directly. When you submit a form or contact us, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, the service or trade you need, your location or service area, and any details you include about your project.
- Information we collect automatically. When you visit the site, we may automatically collect your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring page, and similar usage data through cookies and analytics tools.
- Information from third parties. We may receive information from service providers, advertising platforms, and the contractors we work with, which we may combine with the information above.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Deliver your request to the appropriate contractor and route your inquiry;
- Contact you about your request by phone, text, or email, consistent with your consent;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website and services;
- Measure and improve our marketing and advertising; and
- Comply with law and enforce our agreements.
4. Calls, Texts, and Your Consent (TCPA)
When you submit your phone number through our forms, you give your prior express consent to be contacted by us and by the contractor we match you with — including by phone call and text message, and including through an automatic telephone dialing system or prerecorded or artificial voice — at the number you provide, about your request.
Consent is not a condition of any purchase. You do not have to agree to receive calls or texts in order to obtain services, and you can request service by contacting a provider directly instead. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
You can revoke your consent at any time, by any reasonable method. For text messages, you may reply with any of the words STOP, QUIT, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, OPT OUT, or REVOKE, or otherwise tell us you no longer wish to be contacted. We will honor an opt-out request within ten (10) business days. After you opt out, we may send a single confirmation message acknowledging your request. We also honor applicable Do Not Call requirements.
5. How We Share Your Information
We share information as follows:
- With contractors. The core of our service is delivering your request to a contractor in your trade and area so they can contact you. That contractor is an independent business, not us.
- With service providers. We use vendors — for example, website hosting, analytics, and communications providers — who process information on our behalf and are bound to protect it.
- For legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
- In a business transfer. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some state privacy laws define “sale” and “sharing” broadly to include certain disclosures for advertising. To the extent any of our practices are treated as a “sale” or “sharing” under those laws, you can opt out as described in Section 8.
6. How We Protect and Retain Your Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No website or method of transmission is completely secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We retain information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
7. Cookies and Analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies, and analytics services, to understand how visitors use our site and to improve it. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not function properly without them.
8. Your State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request that we delete or correct it, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information as those terms are defined under applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
To exercise any of these rights — including a California “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” request — email us at info@americancontractorleads.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.
9. Children’s Privacy
Our website is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Third-Party Links
Our site may link to third-party websites we do not control. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those sites, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
